    New Dresden and Dresden SALE!

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Giveaways, Laura Carson, Newsletters, Sale, Tutorials

Reminder: The Design Team Call is still open! Note: you can apply as a paper crafter, collage artist, rubber stamper or miniaturist! Short story: deadline for submissions is January 31, 2019. Looking forward to seeing your artwork!

So… we got the Gold Dresden Myrtle LeavesBack in Stock this week (more on that and photos below). And I was looking through the many projects using that trim (most recently some matchbox Christmas ornaments). And as we’re all dreaming of warmer spring weather (and the project is just generally wonderful): I decided to revisit Laura Carson’s Land of the Butterfly Queen!

There were actually THREE glass books announced on that date (!) but I’m focusing on the larger book (at right and another photo down in the Giveaway section. You can also view more on the original blog post or Laura’s tutorial.

NOTE: As we’ve moved Web sites since that project, you can use this link for the supply list for this book (on the new site) and a few products Laura used are on clearance sale on the old site (photos and links below, as they’re all part of the Giveaway).

Laura designed FIVE collage sheets that were announced with these books (psst: all 5 are included in today’s Giveaway)! Two are shown above at left (and another at right) and all of them are perfect for fairies, woodland creatures, wings for adding to figures (or just using as pretty butterflies).

Plus that set of butterflies & moths shown at right is also available as a digital download set.

As Laura’s book pages were made of glass, you can see through the pages, so bits of lace or Dresden or paper flowers can be seen between the collage sheet figures. You can see a bit of that effect in the photo at left (which also includes a Paperclay border made from the Ornaments & Settings Silicone Mold and accented with metallic Gilder’s Paste. Wow!

Now, moving on to some new Dreaden trims… and did I mention they’re on sale?! More info on the FLASH SALE after the new eye candy.

    New Dresden!
