Newsletter: Almanac & Easter

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. But you can try searching on the same names (as links below) on the new site.

No, not like a calendar almanac (even though mentioning Easter may lead you think “calendar”) but the Almanac line of beautiful papers that just arrived!

Before I tell you about Design Team Member Laura Carson’s clever (and lovely) chipboard shoe stand, at right, don’t forget to stroll down the length of this Spring-y newsletter to see Easter chicks and bunnies (!), lots of PINK papers, back in stock items and new Tim Holtz items!

I had to include a little photo of Laura’s shoe stand (at far right, without the framed artwork in the stand) so you could see it really is made of shoes (laced with black silk ribbons). and an Ornate Name Plate (On Sale!) split in two and hinged down the middle! How does she think of these things?

And Laura used many of the coordinating papers from the NEW Almanac 6×6 Paper Pad (On Sale!) to cover her stand, and in the background of her framed artwork featuring the “Drama Queens” Collage Sheet.

And in the close-up at left, she’s used Antique Brass Leaves (that almost look like wings) as the hand on the Metal Clock Face; and even a tiny Corrugated Metal Bead in the center of the clock. You can’t see the back of the frame here, but the same metal beads are used to accent the backs of the Square Hinges (On Sale!). Ok… enough drooling for now, but you can see more photos of Laura’s project in the Gallery!
