Newsletter: When Pigs Fly

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. But you can try searching on the same names (as links below) on the new site.

What a fun collection! From flying pigs to slightly demented bottle labels (“Death Microbes”) to oddities like a wind-up Gibson Girl, this really is an (odd) Olde Curiosity Shoppe. And lots of pretty, ornate, late-Victorian patterns thrown in, too.

I went a little wild, with ten 12×12 Scrapbook Papers, an 8×8 Paper Pad (shown at right), and three sets of cling stamps — so there’s bound to be a little something to inspire you.

After more pics/highlights of this group and the Kraft Reflections papers, don’t miss the recap of Thursday’s tutorial, the continued sale on the entire Tracy Roos Collage Sheet section (now available as digital downloads, too), and Guest Designer Nichola Battilana’s adorable spool faerie!

“Making a Chipboard Shoe Picture Stand” Tutorial Recap

Thursday we published a tutorial by Design Team Member Laura Carson on how to make her clever picture stand using the smaller size of the 18th c Woman’s Chipboard Shoes.

In honor of Laura’s art, the entire Tracy Roos Collage Sheets Section has been put on sale! (Plus we’ve just finished converting them all to digital downloads!) Beside the image from the Drama Queens Collage Sheet (used on Laura’s collage in the frame at far right), there are Tintypes, Santa Postcards and Shell Postcards to choose from (see below for more options).

Read the complete tutorial on the blog.
