A Beach Giveaway (Actually: TWO!)

Today’s the final day to sign up for the “Wish You Were Here” Beach Postcards Swap and I’ve decided to have a Giveaway! (A beach-inspired Giveaway, including the Kraft Postcards needed for the swap.)
And one thing led to another, and the Giveaway package split into TWO! It will be a quick drawing (you have to enter by Tuesday night, May 15th — which, by the way, is the same deadline for entering the "Think PINK" Art Challenge on our Facebook Page). And commenting once will enter you in the drawing for BOTH Giveaway packages! (I’ll let the first name (randomly chosen) pick their favorite Giveaway package and the second name chosen will receive the other.)
Both Giveaway packages include the:
– Kraft Postcards and the
– Art Deco Beach Rubber Stamp Set (unmounted version).
So far, so good; now here’s were they diverge. So… the first Giveaway package (shown at top right) is the Brighter Combo (really… that’s the name… remember it if it’s the one you want). In addition to the postcards and stamp set, it includes:
– On the Boardwalk Borders and Seam Binding Set
– Tiny Bubbles Scrapbook Paper
– Travel Stick Pins
– Seashell Sequin Mix
– TWO collage sheets printed on cardstock (Bathing Beauties #1 and Art Deco Luggage Labels)
and a few sold out items I threw in for good measure.

The Softer Colors Giveaway package (shown at left, and that photo doesn’t do it justice: the colors are beautiful) also includes the postcards and stamp set, and:
– The new Seahorse Stencil
– Travel Coral Foil Paper
– Sea Glass Labels Scrapbook Paper
– Marie Fiber Set
– TWO collage sheets printed on cardstock (Strange Fish and Seashore)
and a few sold out items I threw in for good measure.
To enter the Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post and tell me how you’d use the goodies (don’t forget to leave your email address, too, so I can contact the winner; note, your email address does not need to be made public). (I’m even including free shipping… though only in the U.S.A.)
After 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 16, 2012, I’ll randomly pick the winners (you have until Tuesday night at midnight, May 15, 2012 to enter).

Wow so many things you could do with this kit: a shadow box, cards, tags, altered book, finished pages, or maybe an altered bottle. Lots of goodies to inspire some creativity that is for sure.

I just looked at the beach things last week and I love them!
I would make something in a shadow box for my daughter in law, who lives at the beach and loves anything connected to the ocean. If I could choose a perfect place to live, it would be on the beach – oh to dream of the ocean sounds.

Oh wow, I don’t know how I’d choose between the two packages! Both are gorgeous! Either would work perfectly for the beach pictures pictures of my son and his cousin (who are now both 18 and graduating this year) taken a decade a go when she came to spend the summer with us. 🙂
Awesome! I’d have to do some kind of beach-themed art, maybe use it on one of the curio cabinets I have or decorate one of my many wooden boxes that are screaming for something cool like this!

That looks like it would be cool to use for both ATC’s, but the seahorse stencil looks like it would work more with a full page layout. I wonder how you could use it with that new distress stain. That stuff looks like it’s more of a powder so it might work nicely along edges for a shadowy affect.

Lived in Hawaii for few years (2 children born there) and if it had been up to me I would never have left. I love all things ocean, beach, mermaid. etc and love the materials you have to bring my ideas to life!!!
Wow! Wonderful giveaways! I’d love to win the bright colors giveaway which I would use to create a summer mixed media painting which included summer pics of my granddaughters, sort of a painted/collaged piece. Oooooh, pick me! Pick ME!!! (Hand waving frantically in the air!) The softer set would be my pick. I go to Captiva Island every summer where they have the most amazing shell covered beaches. I’d love to make a mini album or even a shadowbox a la Rhea to preserve the memories!

oh..such a wonderful giveaway!! just looking at these fabulous items …i can smell the ocean air,feel the gentle breeze as the sun warms my face and i can hear the seagulls…..and the giggles and laughter of the children as the waves come up the shore and the water surrounds their little feet,then the tide recedes back,leaving little shells washed up on the shoreline….such a lovely picture in my mind!!
does anyone remember the smell of Sea and Ski sun lotion? my mom used to slather me in it…and i would burn to a crisp anyway!!..ate 50’s ,early 60’s…I remember it like it was yesterday!!!

Heading in to winter here, doesn’t stop us heading for surf (with wetsuits), or putting the kontiki out for beautiful fresh fish. I’m currently working on a sea-themed “book”, pages shaped to match a large shell I picked up on one of my sandy forays. seahorses, mermaids, fake seaweed… chips of paua (abalone) shell. Plenty of depth to the shell to add more pages embellished from these collections 🙂

I have been contemplating this swap, as I love the beach and have lots of
goodies already from Alpha Stamps from the beach ATC swap left over.
I do not have the post cards, or any of the collage sheets.
AS Blog is doing a giveaway and I signed up for it…maybe I’ll get
lucky…maybe I won’t. The SAME for EVERYONE ELSE.
SOOOOO….shouldn’t the sign-up deadline be after the winners are picked??? It
is kind of not fair. What happens if someone signs-up and buys the stamp set,
and the post cards…and then WINS them…will something else be substituted?
Will you take back the purchase and pay for the return shipping??? No one wants
to own 2 of the same stamp set, just saying.

I love the beach and everything that comes with it! When I saw the beach box I gasped, I can think of a million things to do with these treasures.
I grew up on an island on the ocean and now I live in the middle of the country. I would make wonderful treasures (note: Plural!) for myself!
