The First Day of Christmas

It’s December 1st and the start of The Twelve Days of Christmas at Alpha Stamps!

On the First Day of Christmas my true love gave to me… a gorgeous Antique Gold Pear Tree by Caroline Ouzts-Hay!

My favorite part of the entire creation? The tiny lantern that LIGHTS UP! Caroline used an
On Sale! LED with Battery Pack as well as Fairy Lights – Fiber Optic Cables to make her lantern come to life (and add the little sparks of light on the snow-covered branches).

OK, so there may not be a partridge in Caroline’s tree, but there are some beautiful gilded pears all over the place! Can you believe that Caroline cast those pears herself? It’s true! She cast them in Paperclay (from a mold she made from a Brass Pear Charm) and used Gold Leaf over the pears to achieve their golden glow — would you like to know how she did it? Then hop in your sleigh and head on over to Caroline’s blog to find out how!

Highlights of a few items Caroline used are below; here’s a list of all the components used in her artwork.
