Halloween Banner & Packing Tape Transfer Tutorial (& Giveaway!)

I love the banner Design Team Member Rhea Freitag created with Mini Chipboard Pennants and images from A Witchy Encore Collage Sheet — and that antiqued and embossed texture on the Black Chipboard Bats! Hey, and all 3 of those items are On Sale (and included in today’s Giveaway — more info below).
(Thankfully) Rhea shares her fun (and easy!) tape transfer technique on her blog. Here’s a bit:
“To start you need to be sure that your color copies are toner (laser) based. Most printers for the home are ink jet printers and this technique will not work with ink jet prints. You can get your images printed off at a shop, or you can order them from Alpha Stamps as they work perfectly.”

And you know, I’m going to be pestering Rhea to show us some techniques for adding texture to chipboard (after seeing her embossed bats). I know part of the antique look comes from using just a bit of Gilders Paste to highlight the raised parts of the embossed images, but we’ll learn more in a future post. (And I’ve also included Clear Embossing Powder and the Silver Gilders Paste in today’s Giveaway, too!)
