Vamp Stamp News is a small, monthly magazine devoted to rubber stamp techniques. Not a big glossy magazine, but a 32-page labor of love (in its 16th year of publication).

Vintage Pincushions Pattern

These pincushions are made using downloadable vintage artwork printed onto fabric. They are embellished with vintage (or new) lace, buttons, and filled with either lavender potpourri or emery (emery is used to both store and sharpen pins). The pattern includes instructions to download two of the vintage artwork pieces shown that you can print onto printable fabric using an inkjet printer. The remainder of the images can be purchased and downloaded from the pattern manufacturer's site (info included with the pattern).

Another great book for making silly stuffed toys/creatures (with instructions/patterns for 25 plush pals). This book is wire bound (so it will lay flat when your hands are busy), has full-size paper patterns in a pocket in the back, and has elastic attached to the back cover to keep everything intact. You might just want to look at the pics for inspiration. Some of the patterns/creatures are really witty/fun, like gingerbread men with bites taken out of them (or the tooth with a crown shown on the cover). Wool felt is also available.
