It's time to go on parade! What kind of parade, you ask? Well, an Easter Parade —
but beside that, whatever your little artistic heart desires! Chicks and roosters,
bunnies, baby animals, or anthropomorphic animals acting as humans are just a
few ideas for the creatures in your parade.
This month's kit was designed around the swap theme of an Easter Parade Accordion Book, but you don't need to join the swap to enjoy playing with the goodies in the kit. For example, the adorable illustrations on the (new!) Easter Parade Collage Sheet are all sized approx. 2" tall — but that makes them perfect for ATCs or small cards/collages (as well as using them on the Chipboard Egg Die-Cuts, also included in the kit).
Speaking of things in the kit, most everything in this month's kit is also available to buy separately (until sold out). See the "We Also Recommend" section at the bottom of this page for links to all the individual components.
The March kit contains:
Three collage sheets (printed on cardstock):
- Easter Parade Collage Sheet (Includes cats, ducks, chicks, roosters, rabbits, a juggling frog and a garden gnome. Lots of hats (and clothing) for the easter parade.)
- Chicks and Roosters Collage Sheet (There are some silly images here, like the rooster biting the cat's tail, and a rabbit collecting eggs who is shocked to see one hatch into a chick.)
- Peter Rabbit Collage Sheet (I do enjoy a classic that so many illustrators have tackled over the dacades. In addition to Peter Rabbit I may have snuck in an image or two of Uncle Wiggly.)
A sheet of Bunnies Painting Easter Eggs Dresden Scraps (So cute! A reproduction of a Victorian sheet (6" x 9"). Die-cut and embossed. Imported from Germany.)
An Easter Kit Bead Mix (exclusive to this kit)
Three Chipboard Egg Die-Cuts (About the size of an ATC (a bit wider but the same height: 2-3/4" wide x 3-1/2" tall). )
A Spring Ribbon and Fibers Set (also exclusive to this kit)
Six Blue Speckled Eggs (Sweet, speckled, blue robin's eggs for Spring; 3/4" long. They're foam, so lightweight and could be cut in half, if needed... or recolored gold like on Laura Carson's artwork)
See the "We Also Recommend" section at the bottom of this page for photos and links to all of those items (save the 2 items exclusive to the kit).

Kits are announced the first weekend of each month. However, if you sign up for a subscription, your kit will have already been mailed to you (generally by the 20th of the previous month).
If you buy a subscription after the 15th of the month, your first kit will be for the following month (so if you subscribe on March 16th, the April kit will be your first kit).
Kits from previous months will be available for purchasing until sold out.
If you are participating in the monthly ATC swap, swap art will be was due by the last day of the month (so March 31st for the March swap). Note: You do not have to buy the monthly kit to participate in that month's swap (however, the collage sheets & chipboard eggs are sold at a discount if purchased in the kit). The March Easter Parade Swap will require using the new Chipboard Egg Die-Cuts, but any Easter collage sheet (or rubber stamp) image is fair game (not just the 3 new collage sheets included in the kit). More info is in the Yahoo Group.
