This kit started with the new Architextures 8x8 Paper Pad. It's a fun set of images... all kinds of shabby chic things, from picture frames (with odd portraits) to doors and windows (and some big things like the side of an old building and a car). By the way, the page of doors in this pad is a good size for making a little scene seen through the window in the new Gatefold Window Card (the window card is also in the kit).
The kit includes TWELVE 8" x 8" sheets of double-sided scrapbook paper (one each of all 12 designs in the Architextures 8x8 Paper Pad).
I created 3 new collage sheets in the kit (plus a bonus mini collage sheet exclusive to the kit):
- Window Card Cabinets Collage Sheet
- Gatefold Window Curtains Collage Sheet
- In My Art Studio Collage Sheet (Wow! This is a big bunch of odd things! I thought about my craft room and some of my friends before I gathered this group of items (all sized small enough to work with the Gatefold Window Card).)
Back to the bonus collage sheet that's only in this kit: I was inspired by Teri Calia's artwork using this kit (see a photo below). Teri made a double-sided standing card (on a wood rubber stamp mount as a base) with inside/outside scenes. So one side shows a scene outside in a garden, as scene from inside her White Rabbit's library. So I made a mini sheet with 2 garden scenes, sized to fit behind the window panes in the Gatefold Window Card.
I'm going to be creating collage sheets all month based on what YOU collect! What other little props (or furniture?) would you want to use in a window card showing YOUR studio (things you actually collect or your fantasy art studio). So what do you collect? Comment in the today's Giveaway (or any of the Giveaways during May 2017) and give me some ideas!
See the "We Also Recommend" section below for photos/links to most of the items in the kit, also available to purchase separately.
AND: all the items in the kit are On Sale, too!
Kits are announced the first weekend of each month. However, if you sign up for a subscription, your kit will probably have already been mailed to you.
A note on timing for subscribers: the kits don't ship till your automatic payment is made; the recurring payment date is based on the date you signed up for the subscription. If you'd like to make a 1-time "catch up" payment so that you'll be first in line to receive all future kits, contact Customer Service.
If you buy a subscription after the 15th of the month, your first kit will be for the following month (so if you subscribe on October 16th, the November kit will be your first kit).
Kits from previous months will be available for purchasing until sold out.
And remember, here's a link to everything in this month's kit that is also available to buy separately. More coordinating goodies (and more artwork) are in the blog post announcing this kit.
Teri Calia made Alice in the Library... and Outside (see the wide photo below). More info in the blog and/or see the supply list.
