Similar to the Matchbox Vanity Table, but this one is sized for the Narrow Blank Matchboxes (so it has an empty space in the center of the bottom section... between the 2 columns of matchbox drawers). Slightly deeper than the Matchbox Vanity Table, to accommodate the longer matchboxes.
Note: it's a tight fit to use 5 matchboxes as shown (it you look closely at the left side, I removed the bottom of the matchbox "sleeve" off of 2 of the matchboxes before inserting the stack). Doing this will not effect the useability of the drawers (it gives you more space to open them easier). You can do the same to as many of the matchbox outer sleeves as necessary.
This is a laser-cut, heavy chipboard flat kit with the slots and tabs precut (you'll just need to secure with a bit of white glue).
BONUS: this kit also comes with 10 of the narrow matchboxes!
Total height is approx. 5-1/2" (by about 3-1/8" wide x 2-3/8" deep). Height from base to tabletop is 2-1/2" (and you can add small box feet if you like).
The top is split to hinge about 1/2" from the back wall (and opens like a vintage school desk) so you can hide items inside and open the lid without running into the fancy mirror frame/detailing on the back.
Shown with a couple ideas for filigree to use with the vanity: Wide Brass Filigree Header and Brass Feathery Scroll Filigree (sold separately).
Note: Items cut from this heavy, light-grey chipboard burn easily so the laser-cutting process may leave charcoal residue behind. Save yourself a headache, and just wipe the cut edges of these items down with a dry paper towel before assembling or painting.
