Autumn Fairy Throne & FLASH Sale on Lights

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Collage Sheets, Fairy Garden, Giveaways, Miniatures, Sale, Shannon Cooper

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply list items from Shannon’s project that are still available on the new site.

ALL LEDs & Lights on sale for 20%; ends FRIDAY night, November 4th!

Maybe it’s in honor of Daylight Savings Time ending this weekend (note: it ended last weekend in the UK… makes my BBC schedule off a bit this week)… or maybe it’s because of the 3 new little lights being announced today…

Note: a few items in that section are on clearance, so they are marked 50% off!

See the LEDs & Lights section.

Ah… Oohh… Look at that beautiful Autumn Throne for a Fairy by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper!

It has so much charm and cleverness packed into a tiny space (see that little photo of me holding the new chair).

(Note: there’s a bigger version of this new chair, too… although “bigger” is only 5″ tall.)

I love the aged wood appearance, the tiny oak leaves above the top of the chair, the bowls made of acorn caps with berries…

And those little dots of Liquid Pearls… they catch the light and almost look like tiny lights or jewels set into the sides of the chair.

AND… the scepter! Shannon provides a mini tutorial and it’s such a clever bit: it’s made from one of the Miniature Rustic Brooms! A broomstick is used as the scepter handle — and the bristles are cleverly used to form the twiggy back of the throne! Plus it’s so pretty capped off with another Copper Acorn Charm and a Pumpkin Pod.

See more photos are learn about her 5 minute scepter tutorial in Shannon’s blog post. And be sure to come back to enter today’s Giveaway — that includes EVERYTHING in Shannon’s supply list!)

  4. Kathlene Ford-Walters says:

The fairy throne is awesome. I think I would decorate it as a throne for an Alice in Wonderland theme.

  5. barb macaskill says:

I would make a Fairy Throne fit for the Ultimate Grand Fairy of the World! She is the most powerful fairy in all the lands and her throne was taken by some nasty trolls! She has decided that she is going to have a throne made to her specifications, one of which will be that any troll trying to take it will be turned into a mosquito that has endless life. He will forever be swatted at and have to relive it constantly!

The fairy throne is lovely. I would create a special throne for Santa to rest his weary bones!

  7. Sharon says:

This would become a beautiful fairy throne! I have the perfect fairy to sit on this throne, with tiny birds and animals to sit at her feet. It would be decorated with flowers and vines. I’d use jewels and the pearls. I’d love the opportunity to do this project. Thank you!

Lots of my favorite things – miniature, chairs, fairies – and all in a gorgeous throne.
I really hope I win but even if I don’t I will have to get everything to make at least one for myself (and one for a gift!). I have a larger bell jar display that I will fill with a canopy to frame the chair and a string of those tiny led lights on wire.
