Kind of like glitter (or beads without holes).

Fancy Grey Shoe Buttons
A beautiful lot of dead stock (never used from store stock). Pearly dark grey color. They are antique so some of the shanks are rusted or corroded. 50 buttons. The buttons have metal shanks, are packaged in a medium jeweler’s tin (glass lid; 1-7/8″ diameter), and are over 100 years old. Very limited quantities.
