Pink Christmas? + Christmas Ornament Swap

Filed under Christmas, Rubber Stamps, Swaps

I’m taking a short break from Halloween (ok… there are a few new Halloween items) for: Pink?! Not sure why, but a lot of pink things have just arrived. Oh, and did you know the calendar is rushing toward Christmas?

Mega Bottle Cap Ornaments Swap

Teri and I have each created a new collage sheet with images sized to fit the Mega Bottle Caps. The caps are such a nice size for decorating (bigger than a standard bottle cap; and lightweight aluminum, so easy to punch a hole through for hanging a charm at the bottom or a ribbon at the top). And there’s a matching paper punch to make cutting easy.

We left a little margin around each image so if you don’t cut out or punch the image perfectly you won’t have a white edge showing. And if you are cutting by hand instead of using a paper punch, just cut around the inner circle (the extra margin is tinted).

Here’s a bit of the info from the Swap Specs (that’s a link to the Yahoo Group, where you can also sign up for the swap):

Using the Mega Bottle Caps, make 3 original ornaments and receive 3 in return (in time to decorate your house for this Holiday Season)! Swap due November 7th.

More New Collage Sheets

And while I was in the Medieval mood (yes, that Mega Cap Madonnas sheet is mine), I made a Medieval Triptychs sheet (using a few of the images from the bottle cap sheet). Just a portion is shown at left. It has beautiful late Medieval/Early Renaissance images of Madonnas and angels from paintings and frescoes.

2 Krampus Sheets
(that you might also use for Halloween)
In Northern Europe, Krampus was (is?) kind of an anti-Saint Nicholas, giving warnings and punishments to the bad children instead of gifts to good children. If you want some spooky images, these sheets are for you.

Both of these sheets and the 2 in the next paragraph are licensed from Teri Calia.

2 Kitschy Christmas Sheets

Hand-tinted and full-color retro Santa Claus and Christmas-morning images. And a few little gift tags.

Some Embellishments for Your Ornaments + a Few Christmas Items

Pewter/Blue Crystal Drops
Beautiful silver-plated pewter dangles with 6mm Montana blue Swarovski bicone crystals.

Myra Victorian Charms (in 2 colors)
Antique silver-plated brass or vintage-patina brass drops (24mm long, hollow). Ornate pattern on both sides (double-sided, not round but “puffy”; see the silver photo for the side view).

Gold Leaf Adhesive Pen
This Gold Leaf Adhesive Pen makes it easy to apply adhesive in fine details, signatures, calligraphy, designs, etc. The pen’s nib may be flipped, bullet point at one end and chisel tip at the other. Use this adhesive for applying metal leaf, glitter, embossing powders to your projects. Non-toxic and acid free. Includes pen and 6 trial size Leaf Gold sheets, each measuring 2-1/2″x 5-1/2″.

Die-Cut Chipboard Christmas Tree (and Birdcage)
The tree has lots of curly-cues; approx. 6″ tall. The Birdcage is very tall (about 9-1/2″). Both are heavy chipboard (really heavy; and laser cut so very precise).

Christmas Cat Garland
A beautiful garland with 10 die-cut & embossed repeats of a Christmas cat carrying a Christmas pudding. Approximate size 120″ long x 7″ high.

Pink Papers & Ribbons

Victoria 4-Sheet Scrapbook Paper Set
4 double-sided sheets. Wallpaper prints, birds, pink roses, butterflies, birdcages, aqua dots, florals, lace, chandeliers…

Porcelain (Pink Birdcage) Scrapbook Paper
Roses, birds & birdcages.

Coloma or Sabadell Scrapbook Paper
2 double-sided sheets. Dots and stripes with distressed edges. Coloma is red and pistachio green. Sabadell is aqua and tan.

Amy Butler “Lotus” Die-Cut Ephemera
Huge set of die-cut reproduction ephemera in soft pink/grey/light olive hues (88 pieces per set). Printed on both sides. Items include scissors, keys, watering cans, vintage camera, mailbox, many flowers, and artichoke, childrens adverts, crowns, hinges, playing cads, rulers, birds, sewing machines, butterflies, spools… Even the box is decorated.

2 New Floral Die-Cut Victorian Scrap Sheets
Beautiful 6″ x 9″ sheets (snapdragons and more roses). Die-cut and embossed. Imported from Germany.

Bittersweet Paper Pad & Rub-ons
6″ x 6″ paper pad of 36 sheets (2 each of 18 designs). Beautiful patterns in chocolate/cherry cordial colors (and coordinating rub-ons).

Crumpled Silky Ribbons – 4 New Colors
Beautiful, soft and silky. Thin enough to crush and pull through a jump ring. 1-1/2″ wide. The new colors are on the left side of the skinny photo: Royal Blue, Olive, Navy and Rose Pink (the remaining colors in the row are Champagne, Light Teal, Tan, Blush Pink and Brown.

More Halloween

Spook Alley Foil Brocade Scrapbook Paper
Heavy cardstock that looks like a vintage brocade print from a distance but the design is made up of ghosts, pumpkins, a haunted house, spider webs and skull-and-crossbones black flags.

Spook Alley Velvet Frames
Die-cut “velvet” (flocked) stickers. Nicely done… peel off the backing (which looks shiny in the photo) and apply to your artwork. Even the little windows have cut-outs (the white areas in the photo can easily be peeled off the backing before applying).

Resin & Ceramic Skull Beads
In my search for some nice, large skull beads (like those that Guest Designer Julie Zarate used in her fabulous Matchbox Shrine shown at right) I found these large resin ones (and these smaller ceramic ones). Large resin skulls have holes from top to bottom; small ceramic skulls have horizontal holes.

Spook Alley Clear Stamp Set
A tiny little set. I love the stripey witch legs with the curled-toe shoes.

Miscellaneous

3″ Clothes Hanger
Grey steel finish with a rust inhibitor.

Steel Wool
Such a common thing that is getting hard to find. This is 000 extra fine. For smoothing & polishing between coats of paint or for removing finishes or wax before etching or applying a patina.

New Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Page (with 3 new sets)
The set shown has beautiful images for backgrounds or for layering. It includes a Paris postage cancellation, a French chocolate label, the Moulin Rouge windmill and a hand-written letter.

Tin Punching Awl
Might be just the thing you need for punching holes in the Mega Bottle Caps.

Metal Rocking Chair
Cast metal rocking chair (really big pendant? doll house furniture?). About 1-5/8″ tall.

8 New Colors of Stickles Glitter Glue
“Rock Candy” (clear glitter that reflects whatever colors you put it on), more aged/tattered colors & 3 metallics.

Curved Brass Hinges
Approx. 5/8″ wide. Use Eschutcheon Pins for attaching.
