Art
Deco Cocktails Blue ABCs Giftwrap
Although the most ubiquitous symbol of the period — the Egyptian-inspired
sunburst — focused on daybreak, it was the cocktail hour that most
embodied the jaunty elegance of the Art Deco Era. After all, how better to
recoup from a night of cultured debauchery than to embrace it all encore
une fois? As seen here, living the Art Deco lifestyle often meant sleeping
well into the day and awakening in the violet haze of dusk to the music of
ice and spirits being gently shaken — a sound that infused revelers
with the vim and vigor necessary to embark on yet another stylish bender.
