Art
Deco Cocktails Sepia ABCs Giftwrap
Although the most ubiquitous symbol of the period — the Egyptian-inspired
sunburst — focused on daybreak, it was the cocktail hour that most
embodied the jaunty elegance of the Art Deco Era. After all, how better to
recoup from a night of cultured debauchery than to embrace it all encore
une fois? As seen here, living the Art Deco lifestyle often meant sleeping
well into the day and awakening in the violet haze of dusk to the music of
ice and spirits being gently shaken — a sound that infused revelers
with the vim and vigor necessary to embark on yet another stylish bender.
If you are familiar with the Memories permanent dye ink pad colors,
this giftwrap closely matches “art print brown.”

Purchasing Options
#1 — Just the paper, please!
Two-sheet set of 18" x 24" sepia diazo giftwrap paper (both pages have the same images — using B through Y of
this alphabet; the greeting card, below, completes the alphabet with “A
to Z”).
#2 — I have no time!
Two-sheet
set of giftwrap plus a
printed A to Z greeting card (with envelope) and ribbons. The greeting card
is 5” x
7” (when
folded) with a white envelope. It is blank (no greeting) on inside and is printed
on heavy glossy
cover stock. 3 yards of 1" natural color cotton twill tape plus 3 yards of 5/8" brown grosgrain ribbon with cream topstitching should wrap a large
package or a few small ones. Additional cards are available
in
the Greeting Cards section, including a Normandie card that would look great with this sepia paper. And a set of four rubber stamps from this art deco alphabet is available in the Rubber Stamps section.
