Retro Recipe Book Swap

Teri has designed a fun book swap that includes a recipe theme (on the backs of the chipboard dress form "pages" or under the aprons (required for any '50s hostess). There are many more samples from Teri's book scattered throughout the site via the links below.

- Vintage Aprons are sized for the Dress Form Chipboard Book (used in our Retro Recipe Book Swap). Plus lots of fun phrase, like, "just like mom makes," "secret family recipe" and "hot out of the oven."

3 New Scrap Sheets
Double-sided cardstock, printed with lots of fun, retro images of women cooking (mostly women, there's some cartoon images of husbands and a dog cooking, too). 8" x 19" sheets (folded in half for shipping). Note: These are not die cut or perfed; you'll need to cut out the images (but most of the images are laid out so when you cut out the pic on one side, a full image automatically gets cut out of the reverse side; perfect for tags where both sides will show).

12 roses on wired stems. Used as chokers on each page of Teri's book.

2 Retro Clear Stamp Sets
Both are 6" x 8" sets. The Coffee and Tea Set (far right) has 21 separate stamps in a mix of fun words (and bad puns) and images with a retro/kitschy theme. Pair images like the dancing sugar cubes or the coffee and tea pots (in high heels) with phrases like "Hello Sweetie," "Our friendship is as strong as my coffee and your hairspray" and "From one bag to another you're TEA-RIFFIC." (I tried to warn you about the bad puns.)

Dress Form Canvas Pieces
Approx. 3-1/2" x 9-1/2". 4 pieces: 2 with stand, 2 without. Similar size as the chipboard used for the swap. Use these as a fabric book or stuff them to make a doll or manekin like the sample shown in the small photo.

A Stitch In Time Clear Stamp Set
Set of 9 "inchie" clear stamps (1" square) plus an acrylic mounting block. Use one image repeatedly for a background (or mix some for a checkerboard effect, skipping every-other square).

Brass Television Settings
Raw brass (lead free and made in USA). Used in the "Just like mommy used to make" card by Teri.

Miscellaneous

ATC Frames - 4 Designs
1/8" thick chipboard, laser-cut into fun shapes to frame an ATC (2-1/2" x 3-1/2") or for any other use you can think of. Two together with painted vellum or transparency film sandwiched in-between would be a pretty ornament. Or use paper tape to hinge on from a heavy Masonite ATC for an invitation that opens like a book.

Conservatory Clear Stamp Set
A nice selection of images: birds, eggs, cages, butterflies, faux postage cancellations, vintage text...

Chipboard Wing Cut-Outs - 2 Sizes
Bat wings (my favorite), angel wings and butterfly wings. 1/8" thick laser-cut chipboard.

Skeleton Key Cut-Outs
Package of 8 (4 small and 4 large). The small keys measure about 2" long and the large keys 3" long. 1/8" thick laser-cut masonite (perfect material to be sturdy enough for the thin cuts).

The Brownies were a very popular late-19th century series by Palmer Cox. Approx. 1-5/8" x 1-3/4"

Embellishment Grab Bags from Nunn Design
What a great deal! Nunn Design has discontinued some charms, ribbon slides and pendant blanks and we've been able to buy some at a huge discount. What a great deal (we used to sell the large snowflakes and pendant blanks at $1 each and you get 10-12 pieces in the "large" set)!
