Angel Shrine Swap (and the beginning of Christmas Goodies)

I've tracked down lots of beautiful embellishments in anticipation of the new swap. Plus there are 4 new collage sheets.

Angel Shrine Swap

Here's a bit of the info from the Swap Specs (that's a link to the Yahoo Group, where you can also sign up for the swap):

Theme and Requirements:
Decorate ONE gorgeous, golden Angel Shrine and receive another in return! You are required to use the Mini Dashboard Shrine (more on that below). You are also required to use at least one Alpha Stamps angel image (collage sheet image or rubber stamp) and "something gold" (could be Dresden or Gold Leaf or Rub 'n Buff).

4 New Collage Sheets
- Art Nouveau Angels
Beautiful Art Nouveau angels from paintings and tapestries, sized for 2-slide Slide Mailers (but will work well for ATCs, too).
- Angel Musicians
Festive images... angels playing lutes to violins to keyboards (is that a clavichord?). I especially like the angel that looks a bit like the cowardly lion (but I'm a bit odd).
- Angel Shrines
A mix of angelic images... from a musician to marching to battle (and a couple images of the Annunciation). Sized for Shelf Shrines (but will work well for ATCs, too). Artwork by Design Team Member Shannon Sawyer, also using Gold Halo Dresden and Mini Rosette Dresden Borders.
- Angel Slide Mailers
Another mix of angelic images, including one of my favorite paintings of the Archangel Michael. (And why is the Michael the patron saint of grocers?) Also has a couple angels taken from paintings of the Annunciation. Beautiful image transfer onto fabric by Design Team Member Lynn Stevens.

Mini Dashboard Shrine Kit
(Used in both of the swap samples at the top of this page.)
Small, laser-cut masonite shrine kit (3-5/8" tall when finished - that's including the rounded top facade; the inside of the box area is 2-1/16 x 2-5/8").

Gold Metallic Mini Braid
Very soft considering the metal content.

Rub 'n Buff - Antique Gold
An oldie but still invaluable. Just use your finger or a soft brush to add a vintage wax metallic look to any project. Artwork by Design Team Member Shannon Sawyer, also using the Angels we have heard on high... Rubber Stamp Set and Gold Zig Zag Dresden Borders.

Navy Satin Ribbon w/Gold Edge

Brown Pleated Velvet Ribbon
The color is somewhere between cocoa and taupe.

Gold Dresden Altar Set
Beautiful little set of 2 church/altar frames plus halos, putti, and assorted leaves (feathers?). The widest one (the one on the left) is almost 2-1/2" wide. Used extensively on Teri's angel shrine at the top left of this page.

Dresden Frame & Corners
Tiny little set with one rectangular frame and 8 photo corners.

Prayer Cards
Prayer Cards are small images of Christian saints or other entities that are distributed primarily to members of the Catholic Church. They often are imprinted with a sample prayer on the reverse, They may be tucked in one's wallet or purse, pinned to a car's windshield visor, or placed on an altar for contemplation while burning candles. These 12 cards are 2" x 3-1/2" (so just shy of ATC size).

Gold Baroque Border Strips
Each strip approx. 1/2" wide. Eight 7" long strips per package.

Glittered Madonna Dresden Scraps
6" x 9" sheet. Die-cut and embossed and highlighted with silver glitter. Imported from Germany.

Pearl Mixes in Tins
Exclusive mixes of cultured fresh-water pearls (dyed) and imported Czech glass beads (packaged in metal/glass jeweler's tins). Beautiful, rich colors:
champagne, olive, blue, copper or garnet.

Nine adorable stamps for Winter holiday or Christmas projects. Packages, letters, a holiday gift list, ice skating (falling during ice skating)... The Brownies were a very popular late-19th century series by Palmer Cox. More Brownies stamps.

Miscellaneous

Shades of Alchemy Swatchbook
Wonderful recipe book of rusty, grungy, distressed faux finishes by the fabulous Michael deMeng. Great names, too, like "Undead Red" and "Goblin Green." 19 recipe pages plus covers. For those so inclined, Michael has made an iPhone app of these recipes.

Swirl Connectors
Antique gold or silver (plated over pewter). 33mm tall.

Numeral Binding Rings
Classy (or steampunk) finishing to a handmade book. Antique brass or antique silver finish. Approx. 1-1/2" in diameter (outside of the rings).

Raised Round Pendants - Single Loop
Silver-plated cast pewter pendants (13/16" inside dimension) with a raised center area (and cross-hatching texture on the inside area, so could be used for polymer clay). The same size as the pendants with double loops.

Perfect Pearls Mists
Perfect Pearls Mists are quick and easy spray bottles that deliver just a touch of glimmer in a fine mist to make all of your projects shine (they are a mix of ground mica powder, dye and a built-in binder). Shades from extremely light to intense dark tones can be achieved with just one bottle. Use a light spray for a slight glimmer or several sprays for a darker more saturated look. You can also layer multiple colors to add richness to your projects.

Glimmer Mist - Creme de Cocoa
Creme de Cocoa is a a very pale tan base with a golden pink glimmer. Glimmer Mist is water-based, archival safe, acid-free, and non-toxic. Glimmer Mist is safe for and adheres to all types of materials including paper, acrylic, metal, and fabric.

Glimmer Chips - Chocolate
Glimmer Chips were designed take the work out of adding detail to chipboard. With beautiful details "stamped" in a dark chocolate brown on ivory chipboard these chips were engineered to work with Glimmer Mist. This set contains 30 pieces, including flourishes, frames, picture corners, Fleur-De-Lis, crowns, keys and keyholes, and an elongated broach.

Glimmer Screens
Glimmer Screens are a re-usable set of 9 large, heavy-duty plastic stencils. Use them with Glimmer Mist or direct-to-paper with Distress Ink Pads to make background patterns or use them for dry embossing.

Kraft Mini Tags

Red/Gold Cording (10 cents/yard)
Not really ribbon, but not sure where to put this. Lightweight cording; nice & flexible for stitching or gluing around the edges of, say... a Paper Theatre.

Medusa Rubber Stamp
In Greek myth, to look upon the Gorgon Medusa would turn a man to stone. Perseus beheaded Medusa and used her head as a weapon until he gave it to Athena (Athena's shield was often depicted with Medusa's head upon it). I think it's a beautiful illustration that can be stamped and rotated to form an interesting diamond-shaped background texture.
